The mission of
Cancer Recovery
Foundation of America
(CRFA) is to advance least-toxic, minimally-invasive cancer
prevention and survival practices that will eliminate cancer as a
life-threatening condition. We accomplish this through research, advocacy,
education, and support.
After years of carefully analyzing why cancer patients get
well, this is our conclusion: Survivors change. They create a state of body,
mind and spirit where they are well and they live from that state.
Survivors heal the whole person. Six areas of life medical, nutritional,
exercise, attitude, support and spiritual are key components to survivorship and
wellness. These areas comprise the Cancer Recovery Wellness Pyramid and the core
of what we believe at CRFA. In interviews and surveys with over 16,000
“terminal” survivors, a pattern of strategies and practices has emerged.
Key answers and information have been incorporated into our recovery plan and
confirm our beliefs:
Three important points:
-
The majority of survivors do not believe they recovered their health by
chance. They participated intimately in the management of their treatment.
-
Survivors do not credit their medical team alone, or even primarily, for
their good health. They feel they personally earned health and well being.
-
Survivors stopped simply treating their illness. They started creating
wellness.
At Foundation for Cancer Research & Wellness, we sincerely
hope and pray that you will carefully,
rationally and thoughtfully consider incorporating this evidence and these
practices in your own life. We are here to support you each step of the way. You
are not alone.

diversity of research approaches to focus on the problem of cancer. They play a
vital role in advancing towards our goal of reducing morbidity and mortality
from cancer.
The Office of Cancer Centers is located within NCI’s Office
of the Director. The Office supports 68 NCI-designated cancer centers nationwide
that are actively engaged in transdisciplinary research to reduce cancer
incidence, morbidity, and mortality.
The NCI-designated Cancer Centers are a major source of
discovery of the nature of cancer and of the development of more effective
approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis, and therapy. They also deliver
medical advances to patients and their families, educate health-care
professionals and the public, and reach out to underserved populations. They are
characterized by strong organizational capabilities, institutional commitment,
and trans-disciplinary, cancer-focused science; experienced scientific and
administrative leadership, and state-of-the-art cancer research and patient care
facilities.
NCI-designated Cancer Centers are funded through the P30

Cancer Care Ministry
www.ourjourneyofhope.com
Cancer care ministry is a hope ministry.
While it involves prayer, counsel, visits and assistance, it is centered on
bringing God's hope to patients and their caregivers, family and friends. This
requires an understanding of the impact of cancer, how people react to it and
how God has called His people to respond. Above all, it requires us to have
within ourselves an unfeigned hope that we can take to those in need.
This ministry training program was created because of the
significant need in our nation, as well as in the body of Christ, to care for
those dealing with cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, over 12
million people in the United States are living with or have been personally
diagnosed with cancer. Every year, 1.5 million more people receive a cancer
diagnosis.
That means that in a church of 200 people, approximately
eight people are living with cancer and two more will be diagnosed with it every
year. Each of these individuals has family members and caregivers that are
affected as well. This Bible-based ministry training program has been developed
to equip God's people with the tools needed to bring hope to the millions who
are living with cancer.
Our Journey of HopeŽ is a compassionate provider of cancer
care ministry resources and leadership training. Our mission is to care for
those affected by cancer through building and supporting a network of
church-based cancer care ministries.
With the Our Journey of HopeŽ lay ministry program, it's
easy to educate a congregation about keeping their bodies balanced with
nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices, so cancer cells never have the
opportunity to grow in the first place. They learn to spot early warning signs
and the importance of early detection. These simple steps are crucial in our
society's ongoing fight against cancer.
Cancer is different from many diseases; it attacks the
body, the mind, and the spirit. Cancer care ministry involves supporting
patients and caregivers in every area they are impacted. We strive to equip the
body of Christ with the knowledge, tools and perspective that the Scriptures
provide for effective ministry. Prayer is the beginning, the foundation of care.
We are dedicated to helping churches build upon that foundation to overcome the
unique and complex challenges that come with cancer.
Why is cancer
different? Cancer attacks the body. It is an assault of rogue cells trying
to take over the body and break down everything in their path. But its attack is
no less intensive on the mind and spirit. Yet, there remains something that
cancer cannot conquer: hope.
Cancer care ministry requires unique insights, both into
the disease and into God's
Word. The purpose of Our Journey of HopeŽ is to equip you with these
insights, and to help you cultivate and carry the hope for which so many are
longing.
What is the impact?
Imagine you are feeling afraid, rejected, alone, powerless, ashamed and
hopeless. Envision, then, if someone comes to you and says words that no one
else has said, does things that no one else has done and leaves you with
courage, strength, dignity and hope for the future - and God's plan. How would
that affect you? What if it changed one day? What about 10 days? 100 days? What
if it helped you through to see another whole season of life with hope?
The potential impact is indescribable.

Hope Cancer
Ministries (HCM) is a faith-based ministry, which interacts with individuals,
churches and other organizations to offer spiritual and emotional support along
with practical ministry in Jesus’ name to cancer patients, caregivers and those
who are grieving.
Client
services are provided free of charge and regardless of faith or religious
affiliation. Our primary directive is simple. It is to show our love of
Jesus Christ by serving those families affected by the devastating diagnosis of
cancer.
Our client
base (which consists of either a cancer patient, a caregiver or a person who is
grieving the loss of a loved one to cancer) is built upon referrals from
physicians, churches and personal inquiries. Each client receives an “in-take”
interview in their home by our Client Coordinator and our Volunteer Coordinator.
The purpose is to assess the individual’s or family’s unique needs. Every client
is then matched with a trained volunteer who will walk with them, a prayer
partner who will pray for them and a card partner who will routinely send them
cards of encouragement

Healing Ministries
www.sandrakennedy.org
The Healing Center is a lovely Christ-centered facility
dedicated to ministering healing to those who have life-threatening illnesses.
The Center was founded and based upon a vision given to Dr. Kennedy by the Lord.
It is our Father’s heart’s desire that we be healed, and He has made provision
for healing in His Word. The purpose of the Healing Center is to teach what the
Bible says about health, healing and wholeness, and to teach participants how to
experience the healing power of God.
The only cost to our participants is their time and
commitment. There is no charge for our services.
Under the inspiration of God, Pastor Sandra established The
Healing Center, a wonderful place where the Word of God is exalted, the healing
power of God is manifested and the love and compassion of Christ is
demonstrated.
The Healing Center teachers are specially trained to
minister the healing power of God’s Word. National and international
participants numbering in the thousands have personally received this
specialized ministry and numerous reports have been documented of various
healings, including cancer, stroke and diabetes, as well as the re-growth of
body parts. In addition to the Healing Center, Healing Teams consisting of
individuals specially trained to minister the healing power of God’s Word are
sent to the hospitalized or homebound. The Healing Teams are now welcomed
in over 16 hospitals within a 100 mile radius of Augusta, Georgia.
If you are unable to visit one of your regularly
scheduled services, we invite you to watch
us live on at 10:30 a.m. (EST) every Sunday or access

Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy
Dedicating to Restoring Healing in Christianity
- Jesus sent his disciples out into the world to heal
and anoint all those who were sick in body, mind and spirit. We have forgotten
that as followers of Jesus, we too are commissioned to heal one another. And, we
have forgotten how to heal.
The ISHA Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit corporation established in December, 2006. .. Our mission is to
support the work of the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy in the
restoration of healing in Christianity.
Our goal is to do this through enabling individuals who
are financially in need to become healing practitioners both here in the United
States and in third world countries. This mission of creating healing ministries
flows from the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospels found in the Christian
Bible. The early church practiced healing that involved prayer, the laying-on of
hands and anointing with healing oils. This Christian calling has been lost
through the ages but is returning in our present day.

Spirited Life is a program of the Duke
Clergy Health Initiative, which is part of Leadership
Education at Duke Divinity. The Clergy Health Initiative was formed in 2007
when the North Carolina and Western
North Carolina Conferences of the United Methodist Church partnered with Duke
Divinity School and The Duke
Endowment to seek solutions to their growing concerns about declining
pastoral health and increasing health costs.
Pastors often tell us that they feel called to their work.
This calling is central to their identity, and it has a profound influence on
every aspect of their lives, yielding both joys and intense pressure. Because of
this, we have intentionally cast our program within a framework of Wesleyan
theology and spirituality. We believe that unless Spirited Life – or any other
effort aimed at developing health and wellness among pastors – is grounded in
theology, it will feel incomplete. We hope that the Spirited Life wellness program kindles in
you a sense of spiritual renewal.

which dietary and lifestyle changes can bring the health transformation people
are looking for, is it any wonder there is a “health crisis” in the world today?
This is exactly what macrobiotics addresses, and why so
many people who have come to Kushi Institute with health problems attribute
their full recovery to implementing what they learned about the power of healing
foods and lifestyle changes in our programs.
The Way to Health Program will guide you through every step

lifestyle changes. These include a very low-fat diet including predominantly
fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and soy products in their
natural, unrefined forms; moderate exercise such as walking; various stress
management techniques including yoga-based stretching, breathing,
meditation, and imagery; and enhanced love and social support, which may
